Hi there, my name is Gabriela Tamariz and I am a Nicaraguan-Canadian-American producer based in New York City.
For the past 10 years, I’ve had the pleasure of producing commercials, short films, short documentaries, web series, photography, television and now film. My production career has been a unique, diverse and non-traditional path that has led me to work with some of my favorite brands, ad agencies, celebrity talent, comedians, friends and up-and-comers with dreams & passions.
In television + film, I’ve been working as a production supervisor for sketch comedy shows such as HBO’s Fantasmas and MAX’s That Damn Michael Che Show. My first feature indie film BUNNY premiered at SXSW Film & TV Festival 2025 and here’s what Deadline had to say about it. If you’re looking for a line producer, unit production manager and/or post production supervisor, let’s chat.
As an advertising producer, I am experienced working direct with brands, collaborating with ad agencies and producing as a third-party vendor. I am most experienced with live action productions, but I have even dabbled in virtual productions, animation and CGI. If you’re an ad agency or a brand, I can help you bid with + award high-caliber, quality production, editorial and post partners to deliver your creative vision. Or if you’re a commercial director or production company, I can line produce your live action shoot and be the liaison to your client and help you deliver your creative vision, on spec and within budget.
Now that you know how I produce, here’s a little bit more about me: I spent my childhood in Canada, New York and Florida. I’m a TV nerd, stand-up comedy lover and cookie monster. I grew up on Seinfeld, The Simpsons and telenovelas. I speak English, Spanish and can kinda get by with some very little French. My favorite bands are Spoon and Peter Cat Recording Company. My favorite comedy films are Young Frankenstein and Dumb & Dumber.
Anyway, I’m available for freelance opportunities in NYC, LA and Toronto (maybe even Mexico…) — reach out to me at matbagfilms@gmail.com
Hope we get a chance to work together!
